Leap year baby Lena Gercke was born on February 29, 1988 in Marburg, Germany. A Catholic school girl, Lena's first taste of the spotlight came in 2004 when she won a casting call for Burger King, and photo shoots, runways, and dance performances followed. But her big break came when she landed a spot in the first cycle of Germany's Next Top Model.

After her win, Lena signed contracts to face campaigns for Oui Set and Microsoft Windows Live, even landing a contract with IMG. She's also scored two covers for German Cosmopolitan, and has also fronted Austrian magazines Miss and Woman, as well as Votre Beaute. Now a veritable model and reality show pro, you can catch her on TV again, but this time as host for Austria's Next Top Model.
