Discovered in a Calgary, Ontario, Ikea at age 14, Lisa Cant may have been looking for affordable chic, but what she found was a modeling career. Within just three years of her discovery, Lisa was strutting down the runway for Betsey Johnson.
Lisa was born on December 28, 1984, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to geologist parents. Though Lisa had few modeling aspirations and some initial self-doubt, she has had a huge impact on the fashion world since her debut. After shooting Lisa for the February 2004 cover of Italian Vogue, Steven Meisel was so enthralled with her that he gave her the March cover as well. Building on those high-profile Vogue appearances, Lisa had a breakout year in 2004. During fall fashion, she stormed the runways for Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci, and Dolce & Gabbana, and in the spring she walked for Anna Sui, BCBG Max Azria, Helmut Lang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Peter Som, and Tuleh.
With a doll-faced look similar to that of Heather Marks and Gemma Ward, Lisa has been the face of Juicy Couture, Carolina Herrera Parfum, D&G, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chanel cosmetics. She has also been featured in editorials for Vogue, W, Flair, and Velvet.
Gorgeous and brainy: Lisa is currently enrolled at Columbia University.
