Tatiana "Tati" Cotliar may be a relative newcomer to the modeling scene, but this 19-year old Argentinian has quickly taken the industry by storm. Within merely one year of embarking on her career, Tatiana received her big break – opening Marc Jacobs’ FW2010 runway show at New York Fashion Week. She kept the momentum going, opening Vivienne Westwood and closing Miu Miu as well as Emanuel Ungaro that season. By the time the tents were taken down, Cotliar had already cemented her name and face in the minds of all the top industry insiders.
Tatiana kept the fashion world buzzing in Milan, where she walked in top-tier shows including Prada, Marni, and Versace. Next, she rocked the runways in New York at the SS2010 shows of Rachel Comey, Jason Wu, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rodarte, and Vivienne Westwood.
Before becoming a model, Tatiana studied cinema in school. She delved into every aspect of the film industry, from scripts to art direction to musical score. She fell in love with fashion once she began viewing it as an art form and the top designers as the artists and master visionaries. When it comes to incorporating fashion into her own life, Tatiana is a style chameleon. “I like to make a character of myself,” she recently told W Magazine. “I avoid routine, so depending on my feelings that day, I could be boyish, feminine, sexy, innocent or quirky.”
We think it’s a safe bet that this fresh face is soon to be a familiar one on the runways and in the magazines.
