A Night Out with the Sports Illustrated Girls

Sports Illustrated's first Swimsuit edition hit stands in 1964 and has been a highly anticipated annual event ever since. Inclusion in the issue can launch a model's career sky-high, confirming that she's one of the hottest girls in the industry. Full of exotic locations and tiny bikinis, the issue's pages are visually stunning, frequently turning these models into wallpaper stars in dorm rooms across America.

Bar Refaeli debuted in the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, becoming the first Israeli model to appear in the magazine. Bar volunteers for Project Sunshine, a nonprofit that provides free programs for children facing life-threatening illnesses.

"It's an honor," Tori Praver says of being included in the Swimsuit edition. "It's my third year, and it's just as exciting this year as it was the first. It's so much fun, it really is."

Famous for her gap-toothed smile, Jessica Hart hails from the land Down Under. Watch out for this beauty on the MTV show The City.

"This is my second year for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit," Jarah Mariano says, "and it's amazing. I'm super excited."

So how did Jessica Gomes get ready for her SI shoot? "I ate steamed chicken and broccoli, and trained my ass off!" she reveals.

In Nigeria Oluchi's name means "work of God." This is Oluchi Onweagba's fifth year in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.

"I think that the best thing about Sports Illustrated is it's so different from any other job that I have done," Hilary Rhoda says. "It's all about the girls, you know?"

Hailing from Buffalo, New York, Jessica White has walked runways around the world and appeared in glossy magazine spreads in barely there swimwear.

"I was screaming," Esti Ginzburg says of the moment she heard she would appear in the 2009 SI Swimsuit edition. "I was in the street, on the phone with my booker, and I was just screaming—alone. I was going crazy."

What does Brooklyn Decker look for in a man? "A guy that's funny is the first thing I look for. Loyalty is also very important," she says.
