Runway Beauty Report: Get the Look From Marchesa FW2010

Renato Campora for Frédéric Fekkai created a whimsical and courtesan feel for the Marchesa presentation.

Inspired by the whimsical and courtesan feel of the Marchesa Fall/Winter presentation, Frédéric Fekkai lead stylist Renato Campora created an artistic textured twist with volume and embellished with black ribbon for the models to flaunt.

To get the look, apply Fekkai Coiff Extra Control Styling Gel to wet hair and let dry. Once dry, apply Fekkai Au Natural Dry Shampoo to create a matte look and tease hair thoroughly. Then roll hair around heated rollers or papillotes. Backstage tip - twist aluminum foil into 6 inch logs. Wrap hair around the foil and use a flat iron on the section for 3 seconds to set.

Once set, remove rollers and brush out the curls for dramatic texture. Pull all the hair into a low twist at the nape of the neck and secure with pins. Leave textured pieces in the front to freely frame the sides of your face.

Hide the pins under strands of hair so that they are invisible.

Using a clear rubber band, tie a low pony tail at the base of your hair.

Complete by tying a grosgrain ribbon around the ponytail and finish with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. For added drama, tie small strands of ribbon into bows and using craft glue, attach them to bobby pins. place the bobby pins throughout the twist.

Try this dramatic look with a bold evening gown or when you want to dress up a jeans and blazer outfit.
