JULIA STEGNER
My name is Julia Stegner. I’m a model. Isn’t it obvious? Hair done, make-up done.
(LAUGH)
I live in New York, New York City. Because I travel all the time, I’m happy when I get to be home.
INTERVIEWER
Are you a diva?
JULIA STEGNER
No, I wouldn’t say so at all.
INTERVIEWER
Are you naughty or not?
JULIA STEGNER
I’m nice.
(LAUGH)
INTERVIEWER
And when you were growing up, were you naughty or nice?
JULIA STEGNER
I think I was a nice girl, but I was definitely a bitch sometimes. I’m sorry, mom and dad. I’ll never do it again.
I think I’m pretty down to earth. I had a pretty good education from home. When I was discovered, I was only 14, almost 15, and I finished school first and started to do this full time when I was 18.
INTERVIEWER
What’s two plus two?
JULIA STEGNER
I don’t know right now. Sorry. It’s the blonde hair, I think.
I like oldies. I listen to, like The Beatles but, like, that period, like, The Monkees, the Herman’s Hermits, like, the really cheesy nice stuff, The Rolling Stones, I mean, everything. I like the oldies where I can sing along in the bathroom so nobody can here me. I’m a singer in the bathroom. That’s about it. I think nobody else wants to hear me sing. When I was a kid, I learned the flute and I learned the keyboard and I probably forgot how to play both.
I have a boyfriend. He’s smart and he’s funny. He’s a great guy. I mean, you know, the looks are great, too, but I think the first important thing for me is the guy has brains. Guys are not really good. They don’t have good ways to meet girls. I don’t think they get that we don’t like the cheesy lines.
I play basketball. How am I going to do it, I mean, I can’t even bounce the thing off the floor. Whoa! That’s awesome basketball.
