DONOVAN LEITCH:
Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Now I know my ABC's, next time won't you sing with me. Nice, pretty good start.
KIRSTY HUME:
We're a family of three at the moment. We have Daddy Donovan here. Daughter, Violet. And Mommy Kirsty.
DONOVAN LEITCH:
We have a dog, a cocker spaniel, Captain. And we have two bunnies. I guess our family came together out of the fashion industry. Because that's where we met. A lot of friends of ours are photographers and models. Amber [Valletta] and her husband, Chip have a son Auden, who is one of Violet’s boyfriends. I'd like to make a clarification. Auden and Violet are just friends.
When we first met each other, I kind of had to fight to get her.
KIRSTY HUME:
I don't if fight was the right word. He was friends with my roommate. And he had his heart broken. And then we just started hanging out a little bit. And, and then, you know, one thing became another. (LAUGH)
DONOVAN LEITCH:
Patrick Demarchelier was our wedding photographer. Patrick discovered Kirsty. He was the first one that like put her on the cover of a magazine. And I remember the day of our wedding. He was like in tears crying. It was really a, a, a fairytale wedding.
KIRSTY HUME:
Motherhood is definitely life changing.
I'm knitting a little dress for Violet right now.
It's definitely very challenging. (LAUGH) All of a sudden they come first, which of course, the way it should be.
And what is going to have on the front Violet?
VIOLET:
A bunny.
KIRSTY HUME:
A big bunny face pocket.
You know, it can be tiring during, their needs are great.
I'm going to try to draw Violet. And she's, she's drawing me.
VIOLET:
I'm going to make a sun and a rainbow.
KIRSTY HUME:
Yeah, you can make anything you want for me. I was overjoyed when I found out I was pregnant. Violet means the world to me. And taking care of her, and, and nurturing her and, and guiding her is the most important thing in the world to me.
