JOHNNY LAVOY:
A sophisticated and luxe look focusing on greys and silver around the eyes were a stand-out at several New York Fall 2009 shows.

Hi. I'm Johnny Lavoy, celebrity makeup artist for Maybelline New York. Today I'm going to show you how you can recreate the hottest makeup trends straight off the Fall 2009 runways using products from Maybelline New York. Grey wasn't only seen in the fashions on the runway this year, it was also seen the makeup. And by using grey and silver around the eyes, you can create a chic and luxe look that's perfect for everyone. I've already prepped Louisa's skin and gave her this flawless finish with mineral power makeup. And now I'm going to move on to the eyes. I'm going to be using expert wear eye shadow trios in impeccable greys. Maybelline has taken all the guess work out your application. And they've actually labeled each eye shadow to exactly where it goes on the eye.

We're going to start with the lip color and I'm going to sweep this color over her entire lid. Really make sure you blend out the color, because you never want to see where one color stops and the other color starts. So when you're applying this first color you want to go right up to the crease on the lid. And you want to stop where the crease starts. And apply it from the inside of the corner to where the lash line ends. So once the lid color is in place, we're going to move on to the crease color. And this is a smokier grey color and this is going to create depth in the eye. Starting at the corner, the outer corner and working your way towards the center. And a good trick I like to do is, I always keep a clean brush with me too. Because this is the perfect kind of thing to blend with. And it really softens up any of those harsh lines. So next we're going to move on to the lightest color in the pallet. And that's one labeled Brow Bone. And we're going to put that right underneath the brow bone. And this highlights that area and makes the eye really pop. Another trick that I like to do...and that just gives the eye a little extra pop. Next I'm going to take my line express eyeliner in charcoal grey and give this eye a lot of definition. And I'm just lining along the lash line. And to soften that line up I'm going to use the smudger that's built right into the pencil and go over the line. It's really going to soften it up. And now we're going to move on to the lashes.

And what I'm going to use on the Louisa's eyelashes is the new Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara in very black. You want to start at the base and just rock the wand out to the end. And you can see the length building. And what this is going to give her is provocative length and black patent shine. And what I'm going to use now is the volumeXL Seduction Lip Plumper in clearly plump. And what this is going to do is give her lips a full voluptuous look. Just apply it to the top and bottom, sweep it across and exciting. So this a chic polished look that anyone can wear starting now through the Fall.
