COCO ROCHA
Hey, I had to think of my name.
Okay, hey its Coco Rocha we’re backstage at Rag & Bone. It’s one of the first shows of the season. So everyone is a little pumped, a little excited, yeah.
I, definitely, I did not grow up in the fashion world, so I had no common sense of models or anything to do with fashion. But once I was being introduced into it, I started to realize, a fellow Canadian named Daria. And it was just nice to see that she was a rising star and she accomplished so much being from Canada and being pretty much, you know, one—one of the top. So it was kind of nice to see. But I never grew up with the Linda Evangelistas, the Cindy Crawfords, I had no clue.
The first time I was on the runway, definitely a little nervous even though I have some dance background, it’s just a little different since it’s not too hard to walk. Far as dancing, no one knows if I’m messing up, so I was very nervous. I think at one point, I actually kind of stopped where I’m not supposed to stop.
My personal style definitely--I don’t even know how to explain it. I would say it’s what you would call old English.
Rag & Bone is perfect for us--they always have these cute blazers, high collars, lots of buttons. Anything just had something that resembles--I think, a little bit of richness, a little bit more dramatic. Who knows, every year someone else surprises me so, let’s see.
