Hello, Modelinia, you are here at the Victoria Secret Show. Hello, my name is Julia Stegner. I work here at the Victoria Secret Show.
I was actually discovered when I was 14, a long time ago. I was at the Oktoberfest in Munich in Germany and the owner of my German agency came by, saw me, and the rest is history. I didn’t start modeling until I was 18. I finished school, it's very important. When I started modeling it was very hard for me because everything is so unorganized. And I'm such an organized person and everything goes after, you know, schedules. So when you start modeling you have to loosen up a little bit and realize this is not how it works in this business.
INTERVIEWER
And when you're not modeling what do you do?
JULIA STEGNER
You know, I'm a very normal person. I clean my apartment. I don’t have a cleaning lady. I go shopping. I do my laundry. I hang out with friends. Sometimes I cook some German things for my boyfriend, “Klog Konigsberg Klopser," and he's American, so you know. And in the summer, I have barbecues at my house, just a very normal life.
I'm a big Star Wars fan. Luke Skywalker was definitely cute. I have to say now it's Harrison Ford. Ooh, Harrison Ford is hot in this. I know who Obi-Wan Kenobi is, hello. I grew up with this, okay?
I get nervous the day of the show. Everybody gets, I mean, I do, I always get nervous and I've been doing this job for five years now and I still get nervous before a show, especially a show like this, because I'm wearing these huge antlers and they were just killing my back. So your heart rate keeps going up a lot and you're really crazy. And then after the show you kind of, you crash. The thing is, then the second show starts and then everything starts again anyway and then here I wait.
