GIGI STOLL:
My name is Gigi Stoll and I'm a photographer for Operation Kids. We're here in Pucallpa, Peru in the hospital and this is our third day. We did 14 cases today, 12 yesterday and 10 on the first day.

JOAN BLANCO:
Hi, I'm Joan Blanco. I'm ISMS Operation Kids Director.

GIGI STOLL:
Joan Blanco is our mother of the world. (LAUGH)

JOAN BLANCO
ISMS stands for International Surgical Mission Support. Our team works with children. We arrived three days ago with a team of 19 people, three surgeons. Dr. Victor Valda is a pediatric surgeon.

DR. VICTOR VALDA:
Now, a little baby that will go under the operation today is a baby that was born without the esophagus connected.

GIGI STOLL:
Dr. Stephanie Cohen is the plastic surgeon.

DR. STEPHANIE COHEN:
Nobody really knows why cleft palettes and cleft lips happen. The highest percentage is in South America.

GIGI STOLL
Dr. James Tuccie is the orthopedic surgeon.

DR. JAMES TUCCIE
They didn’t have a blood tested and probably the fracture is not all ill.

GIGI STOLL
It's like going to Home Depot basically with all these tools. I've seen visuals and things that I've never seen before. Today I've seen an amputation. I've seen tumor removal. We're waiting for Daisy going to surgery. Say, hi. Yeah. We're in recovery room. All as well.

JOAN BLANCO
We have found that the Peruvian people have received us with open arms. We feel privileged to be able to come to Peru and lend a helping hand and that what's all about because there's no boundaries in the whole world. Kids are kids all over the world and it's our pleasure to help kids.

GIGI STOLL
It balances everything up.
