Giving Back: UNICEF Believe in Zero

DAYLE HADDON:
I want to tell you about the I Believe in Zero campaign.

FRANCOIS NARS:
Every day, 24,000 children die, and they don’t have to.

DONNA KARAN:
Twenty-four thousand children die every day of unnecessary causes, pneumonia, diarrhea, unsafe drinking water. UNICEF is committed to bring the number to zero.

DAYLE HADDON:
Three years ago, the numbers of children under five that died of preventable diseases were 25,500.

FRANCOIS NARS:
With the UNICEF initiative, each and every day, 1,500 children are living to see their next sunrise.

DAYLE HADDON:
Because of the great work that UNICEF has done and also because of the great actions of people like yourself who have donated to UNICEF, that number has gone down by 1,500. We want to get that number now from 24,000 to zero. It is really unacceptable that one child dies for something so easy to prevent. And I'm asking you to join in with me to make that number zero. And to say with me, I believe in zero.
