VERONICA WEBB:
What's up, Modelinia? I'm about to share the secrets of the supermodels here in Paris and teach you how to walk in high heels.
So when I started modeling, you know, I couldn't walk in high heels. I was totally intimidated. Lost out on all this runway work. Now this is how you learn to walk, really walk. You get the highest pair of heels you can possibly stand to wear. They don't have to be great, but you do have to keep them on and you have to practice doing everything that you would normally do in a pair of heels. Running, galluping, skipping, going up the stairs until it becomes second nature, you know? It's really a question of balance. Anything you can do that will improve your balance is going to be beneficial to you as a model on the run way or for photography. You'll get a request to climb rocks in high heels or, two, three, four.
FREDERIC VACHE:
Before the beginning of the iMoove. People or everybody can do that. They have two exercises that are really interesting to prepare the cat walk and can improve your balance, can improve your strength and flexibility. And I've seen that especially the models with high heels have to work their foot, their hips and their shoulders.
VERONICA WEBB:
I mean, to me, it feels very therapeutic because you're moving these small muscle groups. You get to move joints like your ankle independently. I kind of feel like I'm watching Star Trek.
FREDERIC VACHE
It's a little faster than you're used to.
VERONICA WEBB:
Okay. Whoa. (LAUGH) it's like a mechanical bull. There you are.
It's exciting, it's like, it's like surfing or skiing, you feel like you're doing something, like you're going somewhere. It's fun. It's challenging, but it's fun, so it's easy to get started. You know, you can hop on and just have a good time.
I really enjoy wearing high heels now. In fact, uh, I have to say if I'm not working out, it's my preference to wear high heels and I can feel as comfortable in a pair of heels as I do in a pair of sneakers.
