TORI PRAVER:
Hi I'm Tori and we're here at the Standard Hotel in Miami for swim week. As far as modeling goes, I started when I was 13. I moved to New York city with my mom and hated the whole modeling scene. It was February I remember and it was freezing and it was snowing and I was just like this little beach girl from Hawaii. I remember telling my mom I just want to go home and be a normal kid and go to high school and play soccer and that's what I did. I kind of took a lot of time off. And I started modeling again when I was 18 and moved to New York and started modeling full-time. I have no regrets, I think it was a good choice.

I shot Sports Illustrated three times. The last issue of Sports Illustrated, my design was featured, which was really cool.

I grew up in Hawaii on the beach and I was always wearing a bikini. Something I knew I always wanted to do was make my own. The industry that I'm in really inspired me. People that I know, photographers and stylists and it kind of just inspired me and pushed me to kind of make it happen. I surf and I love to do active things when I'm on the beach so I kind of wanted to suit that. You know, I didn't have to worry about details and things, things hanging off and falling off. The fit was really what was so important about my collection is I really based a lot of designs off myself and what, not so much my body type but what I look for in a suit and what makes me feel comfortable. I'm just kind of taking it day by day. I'm going to start designing my next collection. I just want to take it slow and kind of put it in the right places and my goal isn't to make it huge tomorrow and I think that's what, you know, makes it so special. When you have it small and, you know, take your time with it.
