DAYLE HADDON:
Hi. I'm Dayle Haddon. This is Helmut Newton. I don't think they've ever done it, the same girl two months in a row for French Vogue. The one before this I'm in a leather coat, the same kind of stare into the camera. And that's just Helmut. This is Vogue, too, Bob Richardson. And there was another one. I'm in a bra that's see-through. It was very risque for American Vogue. This, uh, series with Snowden was phenomenal. Me having lunch with all the designers. This was Pierre Balmain. I am turning away because he said he didn't eat with models. I'm dissing on Pierre Balmain.
This is with Ted Lapidus. And just ripped open his shirt. He goes, 50 years of sports. Phillipe Venet, a lovely man. You can see how sweet he is by the way he's leaning over. So he really captures personality. At the time, the designer for Dior was Marc Bohan. Just a lot of, you know, boas and feathers. So it's just sort of opulent. Lanvin was designed by [Jules-François] Crahay at the time. We had a can of caviar on the Champs-Elysees. This picture is reproduced quite a bit. My body and my personality suited Saint Laurent. It still does today.
Oh, she's such a great talent. I just put that in 'cause it was Iman and I. She was just like a baby, then. Let's get the same hair now. (LAUGH) This is the latest cover I've done, and Bryan Adams shot it. I think he did a good job. I mean, he did, I mean, but it's kind of me, you know? I'm kind of like happy. (LAUGH) Ms. Empowerment, which is very sweet. You know, it's nice to look back, but it's nice to be of today, too, and to see, you know, I prefer how I am today.
