You know when you go out, especially in the beginning and you're getting rejected from jobs and it's really hard and you're thinking like, “Oh, I'm fat, or my nose is weird and my hair is all wrong, my skin is bad.”
And I was like so petrified, I had like so many freckles and moles and, oh, my god, it's my moles and I think they're ugly. And I'm just so ugly and, you know, but the more experience I gained the more I realized that actually if I wasn't taken for a job that I went on a casting for, it was that they weren't looking for me in the first place.
When designers are going, doing a story or a show, they have an idea of who they want, they ask the agency to send 500 girls and one of them gets it. So, they weren't looking for you in the first place. And it's really hard to understand that. It took me about six years to get it, like this is my first year where I feel more comfortable in the industry, and, you know, now if I don't get a job, then, like, whatever, we'll see each other later and it's not me, it's not you, it's just it didn't work out this time.
